The Marlborist Grande Sauvignon 2023 – 94 Points, Excellent

There’s no mistaking the variety with the urgent, ripe and fruity scents of citrus and tropical fruits, bell-pepper and a dried herbaceous quality. Equally impactful on the palate with plush, ripe and urgent flavours of citrus and tropical fruits, herbs and spices, mineral and stony qualities. Lengthy and well made with best driking from 2025 through 2030.

The Marlborist Chardonnay 2023 – 94 Points, Excellent (sold out)

A rich and nut-centric bouquet with smoky outlines then core flavours of peach and vanilla custard, grapefruit and nectarine. Firm and dry, a wine with tension and power, the fruit core for contrast and mix of tannins and acidity to deliver poise then length. A lovely example, youthful with plenty of development time ahead. Best drinking from later in 2026 through 2031+.

The Marlborist Pinot Noir 2023 – 94 Points, Excellent

An enticing complexity, varietal and youthful bouquet. Aromas of dark red berry fruits with a mix of cherry and plum as well. Layers of wood spice and a foundation earthy quality adds complexity and breadth. Dry with plenty of weight and power, but not at the expense of varietal correctness and core fruit flavours a mirror of the bouquet. Polished tannins and acidity frame the earth and berry fruits, there’s tautness and some poise with plenty of length and style Still developing with best drinking from 2028 through 2032+.
